Easy / Standard Strategy
Dirty Colossus is a rather simple fight. Keep within medium range of the boss at all times. Move clockwise around him, waiting for an opening. You can punish after one of his attacks or when he idles. Circling around him, you will strafe most of his attacks. When you have a safe opening, run in, hit him 2-3 times and get back to medium range. Make sure you bring Turpentine to this fight to make it faster. You can also use a fire or magic weapon to speed up the fight.
Note: if you hit his legs or left, they will break and flies will release. This will eventually lead to a fly explosion attack. You can prevent this attack from occurring by only hitting his right arm.
No Hit / Flawless Strategy
According to legendary no hit runner FaraazKhan, the biggest challenge of Dirty Colossus is really his arena, given all the debris/obstacles. Keep within medium range of the boss at all times. Move clockwise around him, waiting for an attack opening. You can punish after one of his attacks or when he idles. When you have a safe opening, run in, hit his right arm and get back to medium range.
Note: If you hit his legs or left arm, they will break and flies will release. After this happens, he will occasionally queue a fly explosion attack, which you do not want.
